Service Details

Plumbing emergencies do not wait for business hours, and neither do we. At FME Plumbing, LLC, we provide 24/7 emergency plumbing service for urgent problems like burst pipes, major water leaks, backed-up drains, overflowing toilets, failed water lines, and other plumbing issues that need fast attention. When water is going where it should not, every minute matters. Our goal is to get to the problem quickly, stop the damage, and make the repair the right way.

FME stands for Fife, Milton, and Edgewood. These are the communities where we live, where we raised our kids, and where we built our business. When you call us, you are not reaching a big franchise or an out-of-town dispatch center. You are calling a local family plumbing company. I’m Noah, the owner of FME Plumbing, and I bring more than 28 years of hands-on plumbing experience to every job. My son is now working alongside me as an apprentice, and we take a lot of pride in serving our neighbors with honest service and quality workmanship.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

If a plumbing problem is causing active water damage, creating a health risk, stopping you from using essential fixtures, or threatening your home or business, it is an emergency. Some of the most common emergency calls we handle include:

  • Burst or frozen pipes
  • Major water leaks inside walls, ceilings, crawl spaces, or yards
  • Overflowing toilets and sewer backups
  • Clogged main sewer lines
  • Broken water lines
  • Water heater leaks or sudden loss of hot water
  • Sump pump failures
  • Drain backups affecting sinks, tubs, or floor drains
  • Shut-off valve failures
  • Sudden drops in water pressure caused by a broken line or major leak

If you are unsure whether your situation is urgent, call us at (253) 448-3471. We can help you figure out the next step and let you know how serious the issue is.

Our emergency plumbing process

When you call FME Plumbing for emergency service, we focus on the basics first: safety, stopping the damage, finding the source, and making an effective repair. We do not believe in adding confusion to an already stressful situation. We show up ready to assess the problem, explain what we find in plain language, and recommend the best fix based on the condition of your plumbing system.

Our emergency service may include:

  • Locating the source of the leak or backup
  • Shutting off or isolating affected water lines
  • Emergency pipe repair or replacement
  • Drain clearing and sewer stoppage relief
  • Toilet, faucet, valve, and supply line repairs
  • Water heater leak diagnosis
  • Replacement of damaged fittings, connectors, and shut-off valves
  • Troubleshooting urgent plumbing failures in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, crawl spaces, and utility areas

In many cases, we can complete the repair during the emergency visit. If the issue needs a larger follow-up repair, we will stabilize the problem, protect your property as much as possible, and clearly explain the next steps.

Why fast emergency plumbing service matters

A plumbing emergency can damage flooring, drywall, cabinets, insulation, framing, and personal belongings in a short amount of time. Water can also create electrical hazards, mold concerns, and sanitation issues if it is not handled quickly. Fast response helps reduce repair costs, limit structural damage, and get your home back to normal sooner.

Backups and sewer problems also need quick attention because they can expose your family to contaminated water. A burst pipe or hidden leak can waste a huge amount of water and drive up your utility bill. Taking action right away is the best way to protect your home and avoid bigger problems later.

Common signs you need immediate plumbing help

  • Water is actively spraying, pooling, or soaking into walls, floors, or ceilings
  • You smell sewer gas or notice waste water backing up
  • Your toilet, tub, or floor drain is overflowing
  • You suddenly have no water or very low water pressure
  • Your water heater is leaking
  • You hear water running inside a wall when no fixture is on
  • A pipe has frozen, split, or burst
  • You cannot stop a leak with the local shut-off valve

If you notice any of these signs, it is best to call right away. Waiting can turn a manageable repair into major restoration work.

What you can do before we arrive

If it is safe to do so, there are a few steps you can take to reduce damage before we get there:

  • Shut off the main water supply if a pipe has burst or a major leak is active
  • Turn off the water heater if a hot water line has failed or the tank is leaking
  • Avoid using sinks, showers, dishwashers, or toilets if you suspect a sewer backup
  • Move rugs, boxes, furniture, or valuables away from standing water
  • Take note of where the problem started and what you were using when it happened

Your safety comes first. If water is near electrical outlets, appliances, or your breaker panel, keep clear of the area and call for help immediately.

FAQs

Emergency Plumbing 24/7 FAQs

When a plumbing emergency hits, you need fast answers and a plumber you can trust. Here are the questions we hear most from local homeowners about urgent plumbing service.

  • What counts as a plumbing emergency?

A plumbing emergency is any problem that can quickly damage your home, stop your water service, or create a safety issue. Common examples include burst pipes, major water leaks, sewer backups, overflowing toilets, no water, no hot water in some urgent cases, and clogged drains that are causing flooding. If water is actively leaking or backing up, it is best to call right away so we can help limit damage.

  • Do you really offer 24/7 emergency plumbing service?

Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency plumbing service for urgent issues like burst pipes, severe leaks, backups, and other major water problems. When you call FME Plumbing, LLC, you are reaching a local plumbing company, not a big chain. We know how stressful these situations are, and we work hard to respond as quickly as possible.

  • How fast can you get here?

Response time depends on your location, traffic, weather, and the number of active emergency calls, but we always do our best to get to you fast. When you call, we will ask a few quick questions, help you take immediate steps to reduce damage, and give you an honest idea of arrival time. Our goal is to stop the problem, protect your home, and get your plumbing working again.

  • What should I do while I wait for the plumber to arrive?

If it is safe, shut off the main water valve to stop more water from entering the system. If the problem involves a specific fixture, turn off the local shutoff valve if you can. Move towels, buckets, or valuables away from the area, and keep kids and pets clear. Do not use chemical drain cleaners during an emergency. When you call us at (253) 448-3471, we can walk you through the right next steps based on your situation.

  • How much does emergency plumbing service cost?

Emergency plumbing costs can vary based on the type of problem, how severe it is, what parts are needed, and how long the repair will take. We believe in honest service and clear communication. After we inspect the issue, we will explain what is going on, what needs to be done, and what your options are. Our focus is to fix the problem the right way and help you avoid bigger repair costs later.

  • Why should I call FME Plumbing, LLC for an emergency?

Because you are calling a local family company that takes your home seriously. FME stands for Fife, Milton, and Edgewood, the communities we call home. I’m Noah, the owner, and I bring over 28 years of hands-on plumbing experience. We are not a corporate call center. Trusted plumbing help from local homeowners

See why families call FME Plumbing for fast fixes, honest work, and dependable service

We had an excellent experience with this plumbing company from start to finish. They responded quickly, arrived on time, and explained everything clearly before starting the work. The plumber was professional, respectful, and left the area spotless when the job was done. The repair was completed efficiently and at a fair price. It’s hard to find honest, reliable service these days, and this company definitely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to anyone needing quality plumbing work!

Recently had the unfortunate experience of having a shutoff valve underneath my main bathroom sink fail in the middle of the night and start flooding the bathroom. Fortunately I was still awake and able to turn off the main water fairly quickly but still, got to spend several hours trying to clean up water instead of getting to sleep. I went online the next day to find a plumber to replace the valve so I could get the water back on and found FME and contacted them online. I got an almost immediate response and was able to schedule an appointment that day. The team was professional and friendly and the price seemed reasonable so I went ahead and had them replace both the valves under the sink. I would definitely work with them again and I’m already considering having them replacing the other ticking time bomb plastic valves that are in the house.

Water heater started leaking, called FME Plumbing, and they got someone out the same day. From the time I called to having hot water back was about 3 hours, which is pretty impressive. The guys showed up, got right to work, kept things clean, and even wore shoe covers in the house. They also knocked $250 off the bill without me asking. Good, honest service. I’d use FME Plumbing again.
