A leaking exterior hosebib might seem like a minor nuisance - until you realize it's been dripping inside the wall. That's exactly what this Milton homeowner was dealing with. The old hosebib had failed and water was getting into places it had no business being. Left alone, that turns into mold, rot, and a much bigger repair bill.

We pulled the old fixture out and swapped it for a new frost-free hosebib. The frost-free design is worth mentioning because it's a real upgrade. Standard hosebibs leave water sitting in the pipe close to the exterior wall, which makes them vulnerable to freezing. A frost-free model keeps the shutoff point deeper inside the wall where temperatures stay above freezing - so you get protection against burst pipes without having to think about it.

Here's where we took an extra step for the customer. Accessing the hosebib connection required opening up the interior wall. Rather than leaving the homeowner to deal with a drywall patch and all the matching and painting that comes with it, we installed a clean access panel right where the wall was opened. It sits flush, looks intentional, and gives easy access if that connection ever needs service down the road. Much better than a patched wall that never quite matches.

This customer also qualified for our 10% FME LOCAL discount - something we offer to support the community we work in every day. Honest pricing, solid work, and no unnecessary upsells. That's what we're about. If your exterior hosebib is dripping, running constantly, or you've noticed moisture near where it ties into the house, it's worth getting it looked at sooner rather than later.
