This was a full fixture upgrade for a repeat customer in Puyallup - one of those jobs where every room got some attention. The goal wasn't just aesthetics. It was about making the home work better from top to bottom.

We started in the bathroom. The old setup had a 3-handle tub and shower valve - the kind that makes it a guessing game every time you want a consistent water temperature. We swapped it out for a modern pressure-balanced single-handle valve. That's not just a convenience upgrade. Pressure-balanced valves actively prevent sudden temperature swings, which is a real safety issue in homes with kids or older adults. The result is reliable, controlled water temp every single time.

In the kitchen, the outdated faucet with a separate side sprayer got replaced with a sleek pull-out model - much more practical for everyday use. We also ran the lines and installed an under-sink filtered water system with its own dedicated faucet. No more filling pitchers or buying cases of bottled water. Clean, filtered drinking water right at the tap.

To wrap things up, we replaced multiple toilets with new comfort-height, elongated models. Comfort-height toilets sit a few inches taller than standard models, which makes a noticeable difference in daily comfort - especially for taller individuals or anyone with mobility considerations. The new units also use significantly less water per flush without sacrificing performance.

Fixture upgrades like this don't require a full remodel to make a real impact. A day of solid general plumbing work and this home came away with better safety, better functionality, and better efficiency throughout. That's a pretty good return.
